it’s a question we’ve all asked ourselves at some point: what do i want to do with my life? for generations, the answer was straightforward—get a good education, land a stable job, and work your way up the career ladder.
Awesome! That's a very counterintuitive thing to reflect on. I'm also considering the trade-off of finding a job based more on the 'who' rather than the 'what' the company does — meaning I'm prioritizing the culture, how people align with my values, and also my lifestyle.
This is such an amazing read and concept. Think life and lifestyle first and then choose a career that fits into that. And not the other way around.
I often ask people “what would you do if money wasn’t a thing?” because it reveals just that - the lifestyle that people are looking for and the way they want to live their life.
For me, that would be owning a small plot of land somewhere here in Europe, where I could tend to a garden and maybe, if I am lucky, own my own vineyard.
thank you so much for your article! my own mother definitely relates to this since she manages to work from home two days out of the week now since covid (her work is 400km away so she rents an appartment there) but she manages to be home more often now thanks to negociating and deciding that home is where she wants to be

I love this! I agree with everything 🤍
