it’s surprisingly easy to live your entire life without ever confronting what you believe in — not the spiritual kind of belief, or the political kind, or even the romantic kind — but the raw, private, uneasy belief that life is still worth showing up for, even when it’s not particularly rewarding, or hopeful, or pleasant.
This has been an amazing read. In a world where we have to perform every single thing, even the things we start to do with a heartfelt purpose can end up feeling like a task. I also find it comforting to know we all have been taught to fear uncertainty, but it’s something we need to embrace to be able to navigate life with the sustainable courage you mention. Thank you 💜.
the courage to exist in the (unknown) present, even when, repeating the past responses seems convenient. thank you for this piece. it's good to remember that we, as humans, all navigate, together, threads with the same themes, always. it's good to remember someone will always fill the blank when I myself lack the words. thank you.
That moment, you have no idea of what you are doing. You wonder whether you are contented with your current mundane life or if you had enough support you couldnt have been there. You start grieving the future you thought you would have had. Indeed everything lacks clarity. It is just a continuation of different chapters of life.
Amazing read, going thru this right now in life after loosing my 14 year old granddaughter. Having to witness this turmoil in my daughter, who lost her only child. We'll written, thank you for sharing as it is hard to articulate feelings and emotions in our lives right now.
all of my frustrations, summed up. thank you. and you're right, maybe growth isn't something continuous or something that should be proactively done, but an existential thing that is 'just there'?
wow ..it was like a gift to the exact situation I'm going trough. bless you
Loved this read. This line hit me hard - to just remember what it’s like to sit in your own presence without turning it into a project.
So well written in that you are able to articulate feelings and emotions into words! You are such a gifted writer!
I feel so much better after reading this. I feel seen and understood. Thank you so much

I'm trying hard to 'show up' every day & to celebrate it. Thanks for ticking my card with this essay.
Printed out and glued in my journal. Yout words are medicine, thank you
